THE WRITTEN WORD - © 1994
Putting pen to paper
Is not as easy as it seems
Writing down on notepads
What comes to you in dreams
When writing about facts
It’s no good if it’s fiction
The logic and the rhetoric
The grammar and the diction
When writing about fiction
You’ve got to know your facts
As the written word that you lay down
Will be shown up for what they lack
So I’m off to library shelves
To see what I can gather
To put my ideas of faction
Without my critics being in a lather
